Aberdeenshire police seize £200,000 worth of drugs

POLICE in Aberdeenshire have seized a drug stockpile with an estimated value of £200,000.

Police swarmed the address in Blackburn on Tuesday at around 12:45am after they had received reports of a potential cannabis farm in Tradlin Circle.

Officers in attendance of the raid said they had found around 278 plants.

Four men aged were arrested and charged in connection. They are due to appear at Aberdeen Sheriff Court on today February 12.

Sergeant Mark Adam said in a statement: "I would like to pass on my thanks to the community as this enforcement action was only possible due to information provided by members of the public.

"Serious and organised crime remains a priority, and we are committed to detecting and disrupting criminal activity.

"We rely on the public to provide us with information to help us to do so.’’
