Aberdeen want transfer for ex-Hibs striker Kevin Nisbet

Kevin Nisbet could be on his way to Aberdeen before the transfer window closes.

Multiple reports claim the Dons are keen on bringing the striker, 27, back to the Scottish Premiership.

The Scotland cap left Hibernian at the end of the 2023/24 season as the Easter Road club sold the forward to Millwall for £2m.

However, Nisbet has fallen way down the pecking order at the New Den after suffering from injury issues last season, as well as a public fallout with manager Neil Harris back in May.

Aberdeen are interested in the Scotland international as a replacement for Bojan Miovski, who was sold for a club-record fee last week, joining La Liga side Girona.

The Pittodrie outfit is trying to sound Millwall out about a potential loan deal, although, it's unclear whether the Championship side would sanction a temporary transfer or if they'd rather sell.

Jimmy Thelin is impressed by Nisbet and knows what he could bring to his side in Scotland's top flight given his previous track record at Hibs.

It could also be a move that appeals to the player as he looks to make his way back into contention for Steve Clarke's Scotland squad. He missed Euro 2024.
