Hamilton's Lewis Ferguson admits the Premiership campaign at Aberdeen is miles away from what is required.
The Dons have endured a calamitous season and find themselves needing to beat Dundee at Pittodrie this weekend in order to alleviate lingering relegation fears.
Their last two home games have brought defeats to Ross County and Livingston, compounding the disappointment of being a bottom six club.
Ferguson has enjoyed a good season on a personal note and it's attracted the attention of Serie A side Caligari.
But the Lanarkshire ace knows that a team effort is requited to turn the fortunes at Aberdeen. Four games remain this term and they sit ninth currently.
He said: "We need to try and get maximum points in these games and try to end the season strongly. The season has been really poor and this club should be nowhere near where it is currently in the league table.
“Confidence is pretty low but the only way you can get it back up is by going and winning games.
"Scoring goals helps but we are lacking a bit in the final third, a wee bit of creativity, the last pass, the final wee bit has to be better.
"Our performances have been better, we get into the final third but the lack of creativity and spark that is going to get you a goal.
“We will get our confidence back by scoring goals, creating chances and going and putting on a performance that will get you three points. That needs to start next Saturday.”
