Leaders of the coup in Niger have declared the chief of the presidential guard, General Abdourahamane Tiani, as the new head of state. The constitution has been suspended and all former institutions under overthrown President Mohamed Bazoum have been dissolved. Also, Senegalese opposition leader Ousmane Sonko has been arrested by the country's gendarmerie. The head of the African Union tells Putin his grain offer isn't enough and that a ceasefire is needed in Ukraine at the Russia-Africa summit.
