A rabbit is looking for a new home after it was abandoned and left in a box outside a church. Five-year-old Victoria was found in a box alongside a number of other rabbits before her companion died following a terminal illness.
Initially adopted in 2022, the RSPCA are now looking for a new home for the Dutch ladybun, due to a change in the owner’s personal circumstances.
Described as a ‘class act’, Victoria is looking for a quiet home without children. In a post on Facebook, the RSPCA have said that she would also benefit from the companion of a male, neutered rabbit.

They said she has also recently been health checked and vaccinated, as well as being neutered and microchipped.
Those looking to adopt can apply here via their email address: adoptions@rspca-manchesterandsalford.org.uk.
The full post reads: “For adoption. Victoria is a 5 year old, Dutch ladybun who stole our hearts during the Winter of 2021 when she, and a number of other rabbits, were abandoned outside a church.
“She was found in a box with a companion who was diagnosed with a terminal illness and after 3 months lost their fight to live. Victoria went on to be adopted in 2022, but due to a change in personal circumstances has found herself back in our care in 2023.
“Victoria is a class act who we all adore. She is an independent lady that enjoys our presence, especially if it comes with 'presents'! She likes us to sit in her pen and offer her treats and if she feels at ease with you she will enjoy a stroke too.
“She is a confident bunny who knows what she likes and appreciates people being respectful around her. However, if she is feeling intimidated she will retreat to her box so a quiet home, without children is a must. Victoria is a very clean girl, but she does like to rearrange the contents of her pen if they are not up to her standards!
“She really would benefit from the companion of a mature, neutered, male rabbit to snuggle up to. She can live indoors or out, providing it is a relaxed environment and there are plenty of things for her to do; she enjoys all the enrichment opportunities we provide her at the centre, such as puzzle feeding, chew toys, willow balls, tunnels and cardboard boxes.
“Victoria has recently been health checked and vaccinated and has a clean bill of health she is also neutered and microchipped.
“If you have a lonely bunny boy of similar age then please get in touch at adoptions@rspca-manchesterandsalford.org.uk. We offer a foster to bond scheme!”
