Work has started on the transformation of a former wine shop into a brand new restaurant in Marchmont.
Pictures shared on social media give a glimpse inside the unit on the corner of Warrender Park Road and Marchmont Road, which used to be home to the popular Peter Green and Co off license.
The premises is the location for an exciting new food and drink spot with the team behind the much-loved Toast Leith expanding their offering to a second location in the city.

Toast has served up a fine selection of wines, speciality coffees and delicious all-day food since opening at The Shore in the summer of 2017, earning a series of rave reviews over the last five years.
And those excited to see inside the latest location have gained a sneak peek of what to expect from the new Marchmont food spot, with the brilliant SPLINTR design team having shared videos of their progress on Instagram.
They've also shared pictures with the comment: "We had a quick visit up to a new site last week for the last checks before the team start. There’s a little bit of work to do on this one…"
And locals have already reacted positively with news of the new arrival, with the Argile Restaurant team commenting: "Very excited for this one!", with another comment reading: "I've been passing by this place for years and dreamed of having my ceramics studio there. It's like a time capsule.
"A beautiful space, can't wait to see what you do in there."
An opening date is yet to be confirmed, but we're hoping Toast's Marchmont venue will be able to welcome in customers soon.
