Aaron Wan-Bissaka's form could secure his Manchester United future as the club mull over recruiting a new right-back.
It is understood Crystal Palace started to prepare a package at the start of the year to re-sign Wan-Bissaka, 25, in the summer but that activity has gone dormant.
Bayer Leverkusen right-back Jeremie Frimpong's representatives were encouraged by discussions with United, who initially indicated Wan-Bissaka would be moved on in the close season.

However, United figures have since suggested Wan-Bissaka could remain at the club beyond this term amid his improved form.
United manager Erik ten Hag has been impressed by Wan-Bissaka's recent resurgence but he wants a new right-back to improve his options in the area.
Ten Hag was keen on Barcelona right-back Sergino Dest last year but United's failure to shift Wan-Bissaka - who was available for transfer all summer - blocked any move.
Wan-Bissaka continues to generate interest and West Ham considered a move for the defender in the January transfer window.
Right-back Diogo Dalot, who started in 20 of United's first 21 games prior to the World Cup, is in discussions over a new contract but Wan-Bissaka has lined up in the last three matches.
Barcelona have been monitoring Dalot, who has also attracted interest from Borussia Dortmund, Juventus, AC Milan, Roma and Atletico Madrid.
Dalot and Wan-Bissaka have each started eight of United's last 16 matches and both could get a start in this week's Premier League home games against Chelsea and Fulham ahead of the FA Cup final against Manchester City on June 3.
United want to trim their bloated defence, with the on-loan duo Eric Bailly and Alex Telles surplus. Harry Maguire and Brandon Williams could also be moved on while Phil Jones and Axel Tuanzebe will be released.
