Aaron Rodgers, Tom Brady Need to Create Total Chaos in the AFC

The NFL offseason is in full swing now that the combine is over. Free agency is looming. Rumors are swirling everywhere. And this beautifully chaotic time could ramp up even more if two legendary quarterbacks find a way to make a couple of moves.

I’m talking, of course, about Aaron Rodgers and Tom Brady. By now we all know the GOAT is retired (again). And we also know the Green Bay legend might have played his last game for the Packers a few months ago.

But what we don’t know, at least for sure, is what’s in their respective NFL futures.

You know what would be great? If they each found a way to jump on AFC East teams and make the division one of the most competitive in football.

Rumors of Rodgers going to the Jets has been a story line that has been gaining steam lately. A new report makes it sound like the Packers would be open to making that happen, which would be great news for the Jets, because their QB situation is an absolute mess.

Then there’s Brady, the seven-time Super Bowl champ who called it quits while sitting on a beach last month. It sure seemed like he was done for good when he made the announcement, but then Monday, Rich Eisen shared some juicy rumors about Brady possibly thinking about unretiring and that if he did, the Dolphins might be interested in adding No. 12 to their roster.

Imagine if those two things—Rodgers to the Jets, Brady to the Dolphins—happened?

The AFC East would be bananas:

  • Josh Allen and the Buffalo Bills have a Super Bowl window that seems to be very much open but now he’d have to fight off two legends in his own division.
  • Brady on the Dolphins with some really good receivers could be Super Bowl contenders.
  • Rodgers would instantly make the Jets a whole heck of a lot better.
  • Bill Belichick and the Patriots would have to face Brady twice next season.

The drama!

Will this happen? Rodgers to the Jets definitely could. Brady to the Dolphins seems ... a lot more unrealistic.

But by now it’s not hard to imagine Brady coming back.

Come on, fellas. Do it. For the chaos.
