Aaron Rodgers tipped to issue trade demand and beat Tom Brady to Las Vegas Raiders move

Aaron Rodgers has been tipped to quit the Green Bay Packers at the end of the season and pip Tom Brady to a move to the Las Vegas Raiders. Rodgers has endured a tumultuous season so far, with the Packers on the brink of missing out on the Play-Offs.

The iconic quarterback inked a new long-term contract before the start of the season, earning a whopping $150million (£123m) over the course of three years. However, that contract meant the Packers didn't have the money to bolster the team, leading to a lack of top-quality receivers available to him.

Now, after a number of public spats with the team, Rodgers has been tipped to tell the Green Bay front office he wants out at the end of the season.

Speaking to ESPN, Herm Edwards explained that he believes Rodgers will decide the time has come to move on from Green Bay and look to move to the Raiders instead.

The Raiders will likely have an open spot at quarterback next season due to the departure of Derek Carr. Head coach Josh McDaniels announced last week that he would be benching Carr for the remainder of the season.

Tom Brady has also been tipped to move to the Raiders, however, when he enters free agency at the end of the season. Brady appears set to leave the Tampa Bay Buccaneers and move teams rather than retire.

Edwards said: "If this team does not make the play-offs, I can see Aaron Rodgers walking into the front office and saying 'you know what? Maybe we outta part ways, I'm gonna go somewhere else'.

"I think the landing spot would be the Vegas Raiders. His former wide receiver is there. The quarterback who was there, who he went to high school with, he's no longer the quarterback, he's going to leave. They've got a great tight end, they've got a good runner, and a really good receiver.

"And also, he'd be playing inside! He wouldn't have to worry about this nonsense of playing in -9 degree temperature in Green Bay. He's in the driving seat right now, Aaron Rodgers."
