Green Bay Packers quarterback Aaron Rodgers confirmed he will play football in 2023 and he wants to continue his career with the New York Jets.
“Since Friday, I made it clear that my intention was to play and my intention was to play for the New York Jets,” Rodgers told “The Pat McAfee Show” on Wednesday.
Rodgers said it’s only a matter of getting a trade done between the Packers and Jets.
The future Hall of Famer said he is not holding up the trade process. Rather, it’s the Packers attempting to get maximum trade compensation in return for Rodgers in a deal with the Jets.
Rodgers said the Packers made it clear that the organization was ready to move on from him this offseason and transition to Jordan Love.
