Aaron Rodgers may not be in the NFC North anymore, but he’s still finding ways to get his jabs in about the Chicago Bears.
Rodgers, who is currently recovering from an Achilles tear suffered in his first game with the New York Jets that will in all likelihood sideline him for the remainder of the season, went 24-5 in his time as a starter with Green Bay against the Bears.
After the Packers won yet another game in Chicago in Week 1 in their first game without Rodgers on the roster since 2004, he texted his replacement, Jordan Love, to congratulate him on “keeping the ownership in place,” he told Pat McAfee on Friday.

It’s a reference to past comments Rodgers has made about “owning” the Bears, most notably when, after a rushing touchdown at Soldier Field in 2021, he yelled to the hostile home crowd, “I still own you!”
After leading a comeback win in Chicago with the Packers last season, Rodgers gave the Bears crowd a salute for coming out to support his ownership stake.
The future Hall of Famer ultimately made his departure from Green Bay on semi-awkward terms following a drawn-out offseason saga, but it’s clear there’s still no love lost when it comes to the Chicago Bears.
