Aaron Rodgers has now officially said his goodbyes to Green Bay Packers nation.
On Tuesday, a day removed from the New York Jets acquiring Rodgers in a massive trade, the former Green Bay quarterback posted a lengthy goodbye message to the Packers and their fans on Instagram. In said message, Rodgers had nothing but love and appreciation for his time in Green Bay alongside the passionate Packers fans. Rodgers thanked many in the organization, from his former teammates to the coaches and staff. Plus, of course, the fans.
Here’s a snippet of Rodgers’ goodbye message to the Packers:
I’m not sure it’s possible to fully express the gratitude that I have to the @packers , our incredible fans, the state of Wisconsin, the thousands of players that I crossed paths with, the incredible men and women who work for the organization, and the amazing people who I got to meet along the way, in one post with 10 pictures, but I hope you read this and feel my heart and soul, filled with love, joy, and peace about my time in green and gold.
Yes, your eyes don’t deceive you, Rodgers thanked The Rock as well — of all people. Not only that, Rodgers also thanked Lil Wayne too, due to the rapper’s viral Packers remix of “Black and Yellow” from a few years back. Hilariously enough, Lil Wayne’s Packers allegiance was tested last year, as he vehemently advocated for Rodgers to be traded last season on Twitter.
Still, all in all, a nice message from Rodgers, who spent 18 seasons as the beating heart of the Packers.
