Aaron Rodgers gives New York Jets four-man wishlist including Odell Beckham Jr

The New York Jets have reportedly been given a four-man wishlist of free agents from Aaron Rodgers that he'd like them to sign - with Odell Beckham Jr the eye-catching inclusion.

Jets and the Green Bay Packers have reportedly agreed a deal for Rodgers, but the 39-year-old has yet to accept a move himself, with the quarterback having a no-trade clause in his contract. Both Rodgers and the Packers have been looking to part ways after a disappointing 2022 campaign, in which they missed the playoffs. Green Bay have already indicated that they'd like to start Jordan Love as their quarterback next season.

That would mean moving on from Rodgers, with the Jets said to be the only team to have held talks with Green Bay. But no move has gone through yet, despite the deal reportedly agreed - likely to the frustration of both.

However, the Jets have given another big indication that they are all-in on Rodgers, after signing Allen Lazard, a free agent after leaving Green Bay - while he was one of the four players who Rodgers reportedly wanted.

ESPN's Dianna Russini tweeted: "Aaron Rodgers has provided the NY Jets with a wish-list of free agents he would like them to target and acquire, per sources. It includes Randall Cobb, Allen Lazard, Marcedes Lewis and ... Odell Beckham Jr."

Lazard has been a reliable receiver for the Packers since 2018, being recognised for his safe hands and blocking abilities. But adding Beckham Jr would be a huge addition for the Jets, bringing him in alongside Garrett Wilson and Lazard, being the kind of go-to receiver who Rodgers' thrives with.

Beckham remains a free agent having not played in 2022, suffering an ACL tear in the Super Bowl and sitting out the following season.

The 30-year-old superstar is now back to full health and will command a big deal wherever he lands, with a number of teams interested.

The receiver held a work out last week, performing well as over a dozen teams watched him catch passes from a local quarterback.

In order to sign both Rodgers and Beckham Jr, the Jets would need to do some work to their roster, while also needing to bolster their offensive line to protect the quarterback.

Both Lewis and Cobb could be acquired on low-money deals, both towards the end of their career and having played with Rodgers for multiple seasons.
