Aaron Ramsey sends heartfelt message to Arsenal fans and reveals Arsene Wenger reunion

Aaron Ramsey has sent a heartfelt message to Arsenal fans, with the former Gunners midfielder revealing he still 'loves' the club. The Welshman left Arsenal in 2019, ending an 11-year association with the north London side.

Ramsey, who signed for Ligue 1 outfit Nice last month, insists that he never wanted to leave Arsenal. Signed from Cardiff City as a 17-year-old, Ramsey went on to make 371 appearances for the Gunners, directly contributing to 130 goals.

The 31-year-old has now had three different clubs since leaving the Emirates Stadium - Juventus, Rangers and Nice - but he claims that Arsenal still play an integral role in his life.

“I have no bad words or bad feelings to Arsenal," Ramsey told The Times.

"They are still a massive part of my life & I still look out for them & I am really glad to see them doing so well. I always have love for Arsenal & that will never change.”

Ramsey was signed by Arsene Wenger and played 329 of his 371 Arsenal games under the Frenchman. His game saw huge improvements under Wenger's management, winning three FA Cups under him.

"His experience, knowing how to deal with [young players] is quite remarkable," Ramsey told ESPN in 2015.

"He gets his satisfaction from seeing them develop as a player - and as a person as well - and gives them information on the pitch, and opportunities to go out there, play, and express themselves".

Now playing in France, Ramsey was reunited with Wenger at a Nice training session last month. The 72-year-old was visiting the coaching staff and ended up reminiscing with Ramsey about their Gunners days.

“I hadn’t seen Arsène for a few years so it was a really nice surprise to chat about the Arsenal days & old stories," he said. "I always get sucked in & intrigued by what he has to say. We had plenty to look back over those 10, 11 years.”
