Juventus look set to begin a summer revamp of the squad with Paul Pogba set to return to the Serie A giants - with Aaron Ramsey heading out the door.
However, reports in Italy suggest the Welshman is standing firm on his demands to have his contract terminated this summer, with both parties some distance apart in their negotiations. After returning to Turin from his disappointing loan spell at Rangers, the 31-year-old has a year left on his bumper Juventus contract which could land him €7million if he stays.
Boss Massimiliano Allegri is keen to launch a complete rebuild of the midfield area with several first-team players seen as collateral damage following a trophyless and hugely disappointing campaign for the Italian giants. Pogba is set to become the headline summer addition after becoming a free agent, with the midfield to be structured around the former Manchester United man after he left Old Trafford on a free.
Tuttosport report that the arrival of the Frenchman will ramp up the talks to move on Ramsey and several other big names, including Arsenal-linked Arthur Melo and Weston McKennie, who is reportedly being targeted by Chelsea.
While Juventus are not expecting to recoup a transfer fee for Ramsey, they have reportedly offered to pay at most €2million to get the Welsh international off their books.
Ramsey and his agent are demanding €4million to bring the curtain down on a lacklustre spell in Serie A.
If the playmaker can agree a deal to become a free agent, a return to Rangers appears unlikely having struggled to make his mark at Ibrox.
