Juventus appears to be edging closer to ending Aaron Ramsey 's nightmare stay in Italy.
The Welshman is heading back to Turin after a disappointing loan spell with Rangers came to an end.
Despite leaving Scotland with a Scottish Cup winners medal, the January move didn't work out for the club or the player due to injury woes.
Juventus are reportedly desperate to rip up the 31-year-old's contract this summer due to his whopping €7million a year salary.
And with the playmaker looking to play a key part in the World Cup after helping Wales qualify for the first time in 64 years, Ramsey will also be keen to find a new club.
However, Calciomercato report that the Serie A giants have given up any hopes of selling the player and are keen to make Ramsey a free agent.
They state that a stumbling block in the deal had been a fee owed to the player's agent.
This was triggered if Ramsey played a Juventus through 2021 and reportedly totalled at €2.8m.
The Italian outlet states the club are willing to pay the fee to free up funds for the likes of Paul Pogba to arrive this summer.
