Aaron Ramsey has been dealt a fresh injury setback after he was forced off just 40 minutes into the clash with Celtic at Hampden.
The on-loan Juventus star has had a stunted start to life at Rangers but appeared to be returning to full fitness when he was named in the starting lineup for the derby.
He came through 80 minutes against Braga during the week and had started their previous three Premiership matches.
Ramsey played a key role for Rangers in the first half as they battled it out with Ange Postecoglou's team for a place in the Scottish Cup Final.
But he abruptly hit the deck around the 40-minute mark, prompting concern from the Rangers bench.
He immediately received medical attention and couldn't play on with Scott Wright completing a quick warm-up before replacing him.
It's a serious blow to Rangers ahead of their Europa League semi-final with RB Leipzig.
And it will also be a concern for Wales who will worry about the prospect of losing their captain for June's World Cup playoff final.
Rob Page's side will face either Scotland or Ukraine in Cardiff on June 5.
