Rangers have pulled off a sensational deadline busting coup to land Wales superstar Aaron Ramsey on loan from Juventus.
The 71-times capped former Arsenal hero will spend the remainder of the season with the Scottish champions after Ibrox chiefs agreed a bumper deal with the Serie A giants.
Premier League moneybags Newcastle were also understood to be interested as were Wolves and Burnley.
But Giovanni van Bronckhorst has won the race after identifying the 31-year-old playmaker as the final piece of his Rangers midfield jigsaw as the race for the Premiership title - and a spot in next season’s Champions League group stage - hots up.
Ramsey has fallen out of favour with Massimiliano Allegri at Juve and has made just five appearances this season - four of which came from the bench.
His sole start came way back in August and, despite having 18 months left on his contract, he looks certain to have played his last game for the Turin club.
Despite concerns over his fitness van Bronckhorst has made the move to bring him to Glasgow in a blockbuster deadline day deal.
Ramsey is the fourth January signing at Ibrox following the arrivals of James Sands, Amad Diallo, Mateusz Zukowski.
Hearts defender John Souttar has also agreed a pre-contract with the Ibrox club.
