Arsenal goalkeeper Aaron Ramsdale has sent Bernd Leno an emotional farewell message after the German completed his move to Fulham on Tuesday evening.
Leno joined the Gunners back in the summer of 2018, one of the first signings after Unai Emery replaced Arsene Wenger in the managerial hot seat. The former Bayer Leverkusen shot-stopper enjoyed three solid few seasons at the Emirates Stadium before being displaced as the club's no.1 'keeper by Ramsdale last season.
Now, the England international has been handed Leno's old number one jersey after he joined newly-promoted Fulham, with Ramsdale wishing his predecessor nothing but the best ahead of the 2022/23 campaign. "To Bernd Leno, I wish you nothing but happiness and greatness on your new adventure", the 24-year-old said.

"Thank you for showing me the ropes, and I hope I can hold myself as graceful as you did in the shirt!" Ramsdale signed for a reported £24 million last summer, joining from Sheffield United, who had been relegated to the Championship the season prior.
Despite receiving some criticism for his hefty price tag, the young shot-stopper enjoyed a solid debut campaign in north London, registering 12 league clean sheets and receiving his first senior England cap as well. This season, he will compete with new signing Matt Turner for a spot in Mikel Arteta's starting XI after the American completed his move from MLS side New England Revolution.
