Arsenal goalkeeper Aaron Ramsdale has revealed that both Martin Odegaard and Cedric Soares kiss up to manager Mikel Arteta, with the right-back fancying himself as a "future Pep" Guardiola.
The north Londoners looked to be dead and buried in the race to finish in the top four just a few weeks ago, losing three successive Premier League matches in a row, falling to Crystal Palace, Brighton and Southampton. However, Arteta's side quickly steadied the ship and were able to record three successive victories against Chelsea, Manchester United and most recently West Ham United.
One of the key players during recent wins, and the season in general, has been summer signing Aaron Ramsdale, who has registered 12 clean sheets whilst also showcasing his impressive ability with the ball at his feet. Now, the England international has revealed on the Peter Crouch Podcast who the teacher's pets are within the Gunners' squad, with both Ramsdale and Crouch using the term parched, meaning a player who sucks up to the manager when the rest of the players are having a drinks break in training.

"Martin Odegaard is parched," Ramsdale said. "To be fair he was playing for Real Madrid when he was 12.
"I don’t know what they are saying because they speak Spanish. The day after a game he [Arteta] will speak to most people in English.
"Maybe one of the two of the lads who’s English isn’t perfect [he’ll speak to in foreign languages]. But Martin’s English is perfect and he’s speaking Spanish.
"How parched. And I’ll tell you who is another parched. Cedric Soares, he thinks he’s a future Pep. Brilliant."
