Aaron Ramsdale's expletive-laden dressing room blast at team-mates after Arsenal collapse

Arsenal goalkeeper Aaron Ramsdale did not hide his emotions after their 2-1 defeat to Everton at Goodison Park in December - as a new Amazon documentary proves.

Footage from 'All or Nothing: Arsenal' - which launches on Thursday - shows a furious Ramsdale hammer his Gunners teammates after the loss. Mikel Arteta's side were leading 1-0 in the fixture before late goals from Richarlison and Demarai Gray snatched the win.

At the time, Arsenal were clearly frustrated with the defeat as several players walked off the pitch with their heads down. Yet it was goalkeeper Ramsdale, one of their younger players, who made his feelings known when they returned to the away dressing room.

"That's f****** embarrassing!" shouted Ramsdale as he walked back into the dressing room. The Englishman then launched his water bottle and towel across the floor before continuing his passionate tirade at his colleagues as they sat in silence.

"Every f****** game, so f****** naive," continued Ramsdale before slamming his boots down. It's a measure of his confidence as he only joined Arsenal from Championship side Sheffield United four months earlier, becoming the club's most expensive goalkeeper at 23.

The Gunners were criticised for agreeing a £30million deal for Ramsdale, but they were soon vindicated after a series of impressive performances. He became an England international the month before Arsenal's defeat to Everton and has won three caps to date.

Do you think Aaron Ramsdale should be England's first-choice goalkeeper? Let us know in the comments below!

Ramsdale started his career at Sheffield United, joining Bournemouth in January 2017. He went on to become the club's first choice goalkeeper following loan spells at Chesterfield and Wimbledon before re-signing for the Blades in August 2020.

Ramsdale already had three relegations on his CV when he joined Arsenal, yet supporters shouldn't have worried. He impressed during his second spell at Bramall Lane, winning Sheffield United's Player of the Year and Young Player of the Year awards.

Although Ramsdale was quick to make his feelings known, Arteta took a more measured approach. He said before walking away: "I don't want to regret anything that I want to say now, I prefer not to say much. But the reaction here is late. Here it's too late."

Speaking to the press after the game, Arteta added: "Disappointed to lose at the end the way we have done. To be honest in the first half we were very inconsistent with the ball. We didn't have enough penetration or threat. One of the few times we have done it we scored the goal. We had to be much better in the second half.

"When they started to get it and were more aggressive with the press we had bigger spaces to attack them and had chances to exert more control. We had big chances but we didn't score.

"When that happens and you manage the game like we did with the throw-in for the goal you don't get points in this league. They were there for the taking and when that happens you have to grab it and kill it. We didn't do that today."
