Arsenal star Aaron Ramsdale has claimed that he wants his side to continue their good form for seasons to come, believing that they will continue to fight in the Champions League next campaign. The Gunners have seen an incredible rise to the top of the Premier League over the past year, despite finishing fifth last time out.
Mikel Arteta's project has overseen a transformation to lead the division by eight points heading into their final nine games of the season. "Well when I went into management I had a clear vision of what I wanted to accomplish with Arsenal," The Spaniard said last year upon signing his new contract.
"I wanted to build a winning team that was also financially sustainable and that could transmit the values, the identity and the passion that the club has had over the years. To do that we had to make some important decisions and get the club moving in the right direction so that we could also achieve that in the long term."

One huge goal this season will be returning to the Champions League, with the further step being winning the title altogether for the first time in years. The one beyond that is sustaining it, with plenty of young players in the squad able to do that with more promise to come from them.
It's something that Ramsdale touched on in an interview with the club website, drawing comparisons to Manchester City and Liverpool's reigns at the top of the league. “As individuals you know who the best teams are, and for the past four or five years that’s been Man City and Liverpool.
"Man City are still doing it this season so you know what the benchmark is. And I think that’s what we’re excited for as well, because we don’t want this just to be one season where we’re fighting at the top. We want this to be our first stepping stone, next season go again with Champions League football too, and try to balance Premier League and European football. Go again and again and keep improving.”
