Aaron Mooy has opened up on his Celtic chats with Tom Rogic as he officially confirmed his move to the club.
The Australia international has penned a two-year deal at Parkhead as he joined Moritz Jenz in being announced as Ange Postecoglou's latest summer additions. The Hoops unveiled the duo as part of a double signing with midfielder Mooy penning a permanent stay while new team-mate and defender Moritz has joined on a season-long loan with an option to make his switch permanent.
The 31-year-old has previous experience of working under Postecoglou with the Socceroos and he will be hoping to land game-time and impress current boss Graham Arnold and book his ticket to Qatar later this year for the World Cup Finals. Rogic is another man that Mooy knows very well and has revealed their numerous chats about the Hoops and how life was for the former star while he was in Scotland.

Speaking to Celtic TV after signing his deal, Mooy said: “It’s an amazing feeling and I’m just so happy to be here. It’s a massive club with a huge history, and I want to be part of it, so I’m looking forward to the challenges ahead.
"It’s always a bit stressful when you’re talking with a club, especially a club like Celtic because they’re such a massive club, so I’m delighted that it’s all done and I can get to work and hit the training ground.
'Ange was my coach for about three years in the national team so I know the standards he wants, and I’m looking forward to working with him again.'
“I’ve had a few weeks without the ball so I’m looking forward to touching the ball again and getting my fitness up and meeting my new team-mates and the staff.”
On Tom Rogic, he added: “I’ve known Tom a long time and we’ve spoken lots of times about Celtic.
"I was always interested to know what it was like for him in Scotland, and he’s obviously had an amazing period here with lots of success, and I’m sure I’ll be in touch with him shortly.
“I’m delighted to be here now and I just can’t wait to get started and join in with the group.”
