In addition to being one of the best players in the NFL, Aaron Donald is also one of the top-rated players in the virtual football world. For the fourth year in a row, Donald is in the coveted 99 Club in “Madden,” earning a 99 overall rating in EA Sports’ latest edition of the video game franchise.
Donald is the third player to be revealed as part of the 99 club in “Madden NFL 21,” joining Christian McCaffrey and Super Bowl MVP Patrick Mahomes. Donald learned of the news when he was presented with a care package from EA, which included a gold chain and a plaque.
Donald was absolutely dominant in last year’s game, especially with the newly introduced X-factor traits that rewarded star players with special abilities. He’s as disruptive in the game as he is in real life, if not more so when utilized properly.
EA has been revealing “Madden” ratings over the last week or so and will continue to do so in the coming days. Cam Akers and Van Jefferson also had their ratings released, with Akers being a 73 overall and Jefferson a 70 overall.
