There’s a lot on the line in Sunday’s Los Angeles Rams-Philadelphia Eagles game, with a trip to the NFC title game up for grabs. Aaron Donald and LeSean McCoy added to their own personal rooting interests by putting a sizable bet on this marquee matchup between their former teams.
Donald and McCoy were on FaceTime Friday and they made a friendly wager on the Rams-Eagles game. They have a $50,000 bet on this playoff bout, with Donald obviously taking the Rams and McCoy backing his Eagles.
McCoy is confident Philadelphia will win with its running game, telling Donald that the only way the Rams can stop Saquon Barkley is “if you come back.”
Donald disagreed:“No, they’ve got a bunch of young dogs. They’ve got Verse, Fiske, BY, Kobie.”
McCoy originally wanted to bet $100,000 on the game, but he cut it down to $50,000 “because we’re brothers.”
“I’m going to match you, man, because I’m tired of hearing this and that. He’s on TV, sleeping on the Rams. This and that. Man, I’m tired of hearing all that,” Donald said.
That’s when Donald walked over to his Lombardi Trophy and told McCoy, “This is what we’re trying to go get.”
