Aaron Connolly has joined Hull City on loan in the latest effort to kick start his career.
The Brighton striker will spearhead the Tigers’ efforts to climb into the promotion play-off picture in the second-half of the season.
It’s his fourth move away from the Seagulls, after spells with Luton, Middlesbrough and Italian side Venezia.
Galway-born Connolly, who burst onto the Premier League scene with a double against Tottenham in 2019, has made 52 appearances for Brighton.
Hull boss Liam Rosenior worked with the 22-year-old at the Brighton academy.
Rosenior said: “He's going to bring us a lot of energy, pace and directness and I'm really, really looking forward to working with him again.”
It was unclear last night whether the paperwork would be completed in time for Connolly to feature in the FA Cup against Fulham.
