Aaron Carter’s heartbroken twin sister has paid tribute to her late brother as she shared childhood photos of happier times together.
The 34-year-old singer, who is brother of Backstreet Boys star Nick Carter, was found dead in the bathtub of his Lancaster, California, home on Saturday.
Police are treating his death as drowning, but it remains unclear how.
Aaron, who opened for the Backstreet Boys on a 1997 tour, became a child pop star with his self-titled debut album in 1997 when he was only nine years old.
Angel penned an Instagram post speaking directly to Aaron, writing: "To my twin... I loved you beyond measure."
"You will be missed dearly. My funny, sweet Aaron, I have so many memories of you and I, and I promise to cherish them. I know you’re at peace now."
She shared a sweet tribute of the pair as newborns swaddled in hospital blankets and other shots showing them dressed in matching outfits.
She added: ''I will carry you with me until the day I die and get to see you again.''

Angel previously told how she and brother Nick had struggled to have a relationship with Aaron after he had battled addiction alongside a music career according to E!.
And in 2019 their relationship broke down when his siblings filed a restraining order against him to 'protect themselves and our families', with Nick alleging Aaron harboured 'intentions of killing my wife and unborn child'.
Nick posted on Instagram: "My heart has been broken today. Even though my brother and I have had a complicated relationship, my love for him has never ever faded. I have always held onto the hope, that he would somehow, someday want to walk a healthy path and eventually find the help that he so desperately needed.''
He continued: ''Sometimes we want to blame someone or something for a loss. But the truth is that addiction and mental illness is the real villain here.''
"I will miss my brother more than anyone will ever know. I love you Chizz., now you get a chance to finally have some peace you could never find here on earth….God,Please take care of my baby brother.''
In 2019, Aaron revealed on 'The Doctors' had diagnosed with 'multiple personality disorder, schizophrenia, acute anxiety and manic depression,' according to CNN.
The troubled pop singer is survived by his son Prince.
