The A77 southbound at Kilmarnock has been closed this evening following an accident.
The crash, which took place at around 5.30pm, took place between the Grassyards and Bellfield Interchange.
It's understood that the incident is causing huge delays in the area.
Inrix reports: "A77 Southbound closed, queueing traffic due to accident from B7082 Grassyards Road to A71 (Bellfield Interchange). After at accident at 17:35."
Traffic Scotland have advised drivers to approach the area with care as traffic is heavy in the area.
