Pictures show the extent of damage following a horror crash involving multiple vehicles on the A38.
The A38 was shut southbound between junction 28 of the M1 (Alfreton / Mansfield, South Normanton) and the B600 Nottingham Road near Alfreton.
According to traffic monitoring site Inrix, a van and another vehicle were involved in the crash.
Derbyshire police have now released pictures showing the aftermath of what happened.
The photos show damage to a car and van.
Derbyshire police had closed the carriageway to allow work at scene and drivers were diverting.
The road is now clear.
Drivers were being told to allow extra time to for their journeys.
