Steve McManaman has heaped praise on Manchester City "superstar" Gabriel Jesus after the Blues forward was handed another start by Pep Guardiola.
The Brazilian scored four in the win over Watford as City regained top spot in the Premier League at the weekend. And Jesus repaid the faith shown in him after being handed another start as he doubled City's lead after 11 minutes against Real Madrid on Tuesday.
Kevin De Bruyne gave Pep Guardiola's side a dream start as he opened the scoring after less than two minutes against the most decorated side in European Cup history. With Madrid slow out of the traps, the reigning Premier League champions made no mistake in their early approach.

With Jesus handed another start, the BT Sport pundits were in agreement over the 25-year-old's inclusion. Former Madrid attacker McManaman lauded the Brazilian, saying: "He's such a team player, he's played right, left, he's played wherever Pep's put him at times and that's probably a detriment to him being a typical number nine and getting the numbers he should be or the numbers Man City number nines should be getting.
"He's been a superstar player for them." Guardiola is looking to take his City side one step further after last season's final heartbreak against Chelsea. The elite European competition is the only piece of silverware to evade the Blues chief during his spell in Manchester.
