For Damar Hamlin, it couldn’t have been easy to return to Paycor Stadium as his Buffalo Bills played the Cincinnati Bengals.
It was the first time he was back since collapsing in the middle of the January game last season due to cardiac arrest. Thank goodness Hamlin recovered fully.
Since then, the safety returned to NFL action, and although he was inactive on Sunday night, he was filmed after the game as he returned near the spot of his collapse, looking solemn as you’d expect given what he must have been thinking about at that moment.
Here are the videos, along with Hamlin’s tweet about that moment:
Tonight was everything for me.. y’all don’t know the half of it. Trust me. https://t.co/eQGkrqtZK0

One player is left here on the turf at Paycor.
It’s Damar Hamlin standing at midfield, right near the spot he collapsed almost one year ago… I imagine just reflecting on what he went through at that moment and being back here. @WDTN pic.twitter.com/Hbg5hFNPK4
