A stunning new independent cocktail bar and restaurant has opened up in Haverfordwest and it's set to be one of the most Instagrammable locations in that part of the country - just behind the region's beautiful beaches and picturesque walks, of course.
Forbidden Florist is a brand new luxury cocktail bar that is not only aesthetically pleasing with its floral interior decor and riverside location but also offers a vast array of food, bottomless brunches (only on Saturdays) and extraordinary sounding cocktails that'll spruce up your weekend plans.
At the heart of the restaurant, is a bar that is adorned with pink roses and plush jungle patterned seats and perhaps the most unique element of the establishment is that it has a glass roof that, on sunny days, opens up to be an open restaurant - how cool is that?
The building - which accomodates 200 covers inside and an additional 40 outside - and opening of this unique bar has been two years in the making and is the hard work of the Edwards' - a family of restaurateurs - Leon and Esther and Mark and Angela.
Leon told the Pembrokeshire Herald: “We are a place where office workers, local residents and visitors can enjoy great quality food and beverage served with world class hospitality!. We are beyond delighted to be opening in Haverfordwest, this is the town we are from and we can’t wait to throw open the doors. We are so excited Forbidden Florist is now open. Working on this project has been a fantastic experience. The people of Pembrokeshire are in for something completely different and truly unique."
Aside from the stunning floral features - a nod to the bar's name - and skylight feature, and a 'Forbidden Florist' canopy tree, one thing that's sure to get those bursting for that picture perfect shot flocking is the selection of bird cage booths, which seat up to seven people, throughout the building that come ready and waiting with giant ice buckets to make for the ultimate celebratory experience.
The cocktails on offer are also part of this bar's uniqueness it seems as all have been created bespoke with Forbidden Florists' own infusions and mixology techniques that are sure to put on a show. Expect items such as spiced banana espresso, breakfast martini, house bloody mary or raspberry martini fizz.
Taking to their Instagram some days ago, it revealed that its original name was set to be the 'Funky Florist' to "tie in" with the building's previous tenants - Fever. However, due to the decor and aesthetic - a celebration of florals and trees - they landed on Forbidden Florist.
Forbidden Florist can be found at The Quay, Haverfordwest, United Kingdom
