Halloween is right around the corner, folks. To get us all in the spoOOooOky spirit, Australian wine brand 19 Crimes is launching a possessed pop-up bar — and yes, it’s going to scare the absolute crap out of you.
Taking place at Melbourne’s The Shady Lady in Fitzroy, the possessed wine bar will be haunting party-goers on October 25 and 26.
Call your Halloween freak-friends because guests will have to sign a literal waiver to experience the bar in case they too become possessed. Colour me intrigued.
You’ll be able to try a bunch of Halloween-themed cocktails such as The Frankenstein, a mad experiment mashup with a Chardonnay base, Vlad’s Revenge, a blood-red cocktail inspired by Dracula himself, and The Spirit Spritzer, a sparkling spritz that’ll send shivers down your spine.
As well as trying out the new wines and creepy cocktails, attendees will get to rub shoulders with spooky spirits. 19 Crimes has created a curated experience with possessed items that are handpicked from around the world. Think: creepy dolls and haunted home decor.
Given the event is taking place in a bar, it’s an 18+ party. But, if you’re of age, simply rock up to The Shady Lady in Fitzroy from 6pm to get into the Halloween spirit.
The pop-up is to celebrate the launch of the 19 Crime’s new limited edition line of wines. The range includes a Shiraz and “Hard Chard” and the bottles will help you get into the spooky spirit thanks to their glow-in-the-dark labels. That’s one way to freak yourself out when on the way to the bathroom at 3am.
