First responders are on the scene after a small plane crashed into a home Sunday morning in a small town in Arizona.
According to authorities, the plane crash happened at a house in Cottonwood, a city in Yavapai County.
Verde Valley Fire crews and the Cottonwood Fire Department extricated the pilot. The pilot was treated and transported by air to the hospital with multiple injuries. The Yavapai County Sheriff's Office says the pilot is in stable condition at a Phoenix-area hospital.
Authorities confirmed no one on the ground was hurt. Property damage was limited to the plane and a detached carport. The crash did not damage the home itself.
The FAA will investigate what caused the crash. The NTSB will be in charge of the investigation and will provide further updates.
