A Place In The Sun viewers have slammed a "grotty" flat shown to a couple who were looking for their perfect holiday home.
Laura Hamilton pulled out all the stops to find Gill and Paul from Derbyshire their perfect holiday home in Benalmadena on Spain’s Costa Del Sol. With a maximum budget of £110,000 to spend, they were keen to find a two-bedroom property with plenty of space for the family.
The first three properties went down a storm with the couple but viewers slammed the fourth, calling it "grotty." The three-bedroom apartment was described as "spacious" but that was the only compliment the £101,000 home received.

Inside, fans said the interior was dated and worn out, with the spare room used for storage and a broken-down washing machine. Gill admitted they wouldn't need an extra room and the prospect of turning it into an ensuite seemed like "a lot of work." There were multiple issues with paint coming off the walls and a bad view that also sparked concern for the couple but they tried their best to look past the imperfections.
Viewers were less kind with their criticisms as one comment said: "These are proper grotty, especially this one."
A second viewer added: "An absolute dump!"
Gathering outside to discuss the property, Gill said she wasn't a fan of the workload renovating the apartment would take. Paul added: "I'm not feeling a vibe from this one. That is a step too far for us."
The couple eventually found their dream holiday home but only after a sudden U-turn by the owner. They originally agreed to pay the full asking price but the next day, the owner came back and said he was no longer interested in selling the home. Gill and Paul moved to their second choice and signed the deal on that property for an undisclosed amount.
