A Place In The Sun star teases return to show over a decade after she quit

Amanda Lamb has teased a huge return to A Place In The Sun - 14 years after she quit the show.

The presenter was a key player on the Channel 4 programme for several years, where she regularly presented alongside Jonnie Irwin. She has now teased she will be making a return to the show, which she fronted until 2009.

Refusing to spill all, Amanda kept some information about her return close to her chest but confirmed she would be back for a few episodes. A Place In The Sun helps people to find their dream home abroad as they make plans to move away from the UK.

Speaking to Entertainment Daily, Amanda said: "Rumours are I might be going back to do a few episodes so watch this space. I can’t tell you any more because it’s a secret but I might be doing some. You’ll have to wait and see!"

Amanda also revealed she reached out to her former co-star Jonnie after learning of his terminal cancer diagnosis.

"I don’t keep in touch with many of my former co-stars, we occasionally touch base when we’re on Instagram and things like that. I haven’t spoken to Jonnie," she shared of the contact she's had with Jonnie since.

Sending her well wishes to Jonnie, she added: "I sent him a message, I reached out and said I was thinking of him, sending them all lots of love. He’s a lovely lovely man, I wish him all the love in the world because he’s lovely."

Back in March, Jonnie returned to work on A Place in the Sun for its live show in Manchester.

Taking to Instagram he shared a snap of himself and co-host Jasmine Harman on stage at the property exhibition, and the day before he also posted a photo of his outfit the day before the event.

He wrote: "Selecting wardrobe for @aplaceinthesunofficial LIVE Tomorrow in Manchester. It’s an early start and as I’m not fit enough to run for the train atm I’m prepping the night before. My wife can’t quite believe it! Cold weather calls for wool, wool, and more wool."

Jasmine was one of the first of Jonnie's colleagues to send her friend strength when the presenter shared his heartbreaking news.

Sharing a message of support, she wrote on Instagram: "Sending lots of love and support to my great friend and original partner in crime @jonnieirwintv. I know it has taken bravery to share your story. As ever a true inspiration & always positive and up for a laugh no matter what the circumstances. Love to you and your beautiful family [heart emoji] #inspirational #friends #brave #positivity."
