A Place In The Sun's Scarlette Douglas forced to apologise to couple

A Place In The Sun's Scarlette Douglas was forced to apologise to her buyers after forcing them to make a difficult decision.

Don and Margaret flew off to Portugal's western Algarve, known as one of the best-preserved parts of southern Portugal, with hopes of finding the perfect home to escape British winters.

With a budget of £300,000, Don and Margaret wanted to find a property that was close to a town with plenty of action.

Scarlette lined up five options in the hope that one would turn out to be the home of their dreams but her choices were maybe too strong for today's buyers.

Don and Margaret were enthusiastic with everything they were shown and failed to eliminate any of the properties as potentials. This made things all the more difficult when it came time to finally place an offer.

Regrouping at the end of the programme, the couple admitted that they needed more time to consider their options. Scarlette took it upon herself to apologise for arranging such a difficult lineup to choose from.

She said: "I would love to know which one you decided to choose. Keep me posted on what happens, I'd love to know which one you go for.

"I do wish you both the very best of luck and I'm so happy I managed to find you two properties. I am so sorry I gave you that dilemma and hopefully one of them will be your dream holiday home."
