Laura Hamilton revealed she rushed her son Rocco to hospital with a fractured wrist.
A Place In The Sun host Laura, 40, issued a statement on her Instagram late on Wednesday to share the 'worst news' with fans.
Laura, who shares Rocco and Tahlia with her ex-husband Alex Goward, shared an image of an X-ray on her Instagram story and opened up to fans.
She wrote: "Poor Rocco has a buckle fracture to his wrist!"
Concerned mum Laura added: "No contact sport for six weeks... The worst news for a sports obsessed little boy."
Shortly before the hospital dash, Laura shared a snap of her children as she explained how they were keeping busy with a swimming gala and football training.
Laura and Alex are no longer together as the pair split in January last year.
A source has since claimed the marriage came under strain during the Covid lockdown.
They claimed that the couple struggled spending so much time together having become accustomed to the distance caused by Laura's frequent work trips abroad.
Laura confirmed the sad news on her Instagram page as she shared a photo of a quote which read: "Don't cry because it's over, smile because it happened."
She then wrote: "This isn’t something I ever thought I’d be saying but, after 13 years of being together Alex and I have separated.
"Our children are and always will be our number one priority and we would respect privacy for our family at this time. Laura."
However, the former couple sparked reunion rumours last month as they holidayed together.
The pair appeared to both be on holiday in Dubai, but didn't appear on one another's social media feeds.
But, since their breakup, the former husband and wife have gone on a number of holidays together with their children.
In August, the duo jetted off to Kefalonia, Greece on their second holiday together in three months after previously holidaying in La Manga Club in Spain in May.
And in December they enjoyed a skiing break in La Follie Douce Alpe D'Huez with Laura posting about the spectacular scenery.
Recently, the star showed off her stunning kitchen renovation.
As she posed in her cream kitchen with marble tiling and a gold tap, she discussed what spurred her on to do the makeover.
TV star Laura wrote: "A little over a year ago I embarked on a new build project.
"Following some major changes in my life I bought a house that required a huge amount of renovation and I wanted to create a home for myself and my children.
"Property has been a huge part of my life, both as a job and a hobby over the last 20 years and I get a huge amount of pleasure turning a run down wreck into something special.
"With every house project I've taken on I've always been faced with different, unexpected challenges but each time I've learnt from them and this project has been no exception."
