A Place In The Sun's Jasmine Harman was taken back by a couple's "cheeky" offer.
The property expert flew off to Mar Menor, Europe's largest coastal lagoon, on Spain's Costa Blanca to help find Jo and Graham their dream home. They had a modest budget of £75,000 to play with, but requested a spacious home with eye-catching views of the sea.
Jasmine admitted it wouldn't be easy, but lined up five properties which went down well with the couple regardless. Taking their time to look around the listings, Jo admitted they were exactly what they were looking for.

Apart from one property with an unappealing view of drylands, the couple said they would definitely be placing a bid. Once they had made their decision, they placed a "cheeky" offer that made Jasmine do a double take.
The apartment they wanted came in at £89,500, well over their initial budget. This didn't stop them from going for it as Jo said: "I think we’re going to start with a cheeky offer of £79,000."
Stunned by their boldness, Jasmine asked the couple to confirm they were indeed placing such a low offer on the table. She said: "So it's just over £10,000 off the asking price?"
The bid was immediately declined by the owner who came back with a counteroffer of £88,000. After a nail-biting back and forth, the vendor placed a final offer of £85,5000 which Jo snapped up immediately.
The couple left the show with a property £10,000 over their initial budget.
