A Place in the Sun's Danni Menzies 'tripped up' as buyers slam 'death trap' home

A Place in the Sun's Danni Menzies was "tripped up" after buyers spotted a "death trap".

The property expert was helping Pamela and Sheila find their dream home abroad on today's episode. The sisters wanted to buy a property in Spain's Costa de Valencia in honour of their late mum.

They were armed with a maximum budget of £70,000 and were looking for a two bedroom home within close distance to the beach. The search got off to a rocky start as the sisters had difficulty navigating the stairs of the two bed townhouse in Oliva Old Town.

Sheila said: "It's beautiful but I don't think we could do those stairs. Can you imagine after a few drinks?"

The sister ruled out the property as Sheila said the stairs "would be the death of them". The search quickly improved as they fell in love with the second property on the search.

Danni returned to the road for the final home on the hunt. However, the sisters ruled out the home again due to the stairs. Sheila said: "I'll be honest the rail at the top of the stairs is for a small person. Someone is going to go over the top. It's so narrow the landing that you would end up falling down the stairs."

They were underwhelmed by the view from the roof terrace so brought the search to a close. Danni said: "t seems I've been tripped up by a flight of stairs again in combination with a landing this time."

The sisters decided to put an offer in for the second home on the search and landed their dream property for £62,500.
