A Place in the Sun star Danni Menzies has showed off her facial scars for the first time since she was knocked down by a stolen moped.
Last month, the 33-year-old told her Instagram followers that she had been "taken out" by the vehicle after it lost control while riding on the pavement. Just after the accident, the Channel 4 host said that her injuries weren't "looking pretty", so much so that the Face ID facial recognition system on her iPhone wasn't working.
But today, after hiding it with her hair, Danni spoke about the scar on her head and lip and showed it close up to the camera. She said: "Really do not like looking at this big scar on my face and lip, but very glad I got a fringe cut when I did," she then ruffles her fringe and adds: "now you see me, now you don't."
Following her accident, Danni took to Instagram to explain what happened. She wrote: "Sooooooooo.....on Saturday I was taken out (on the pavement!!) by a stolen moped that lost control. Didn't see it coming and it's not looking pretty right now tbh. "I'm sure I will be fine in a few weeks but in the meantime I might be a wee bit quiet on here." She ended the post with a white love heart emoji.
Property expert Danni has hosted A Place In The Sun for six years alongside fellow Scot Jean Johansson, Ben Hillman, Lee Juggurnauth, Leah Charles-King and Craig Rowe.
However, she stood down from the show this year and is now filming a reality show, The Challenge, with MTV and Channel 5.
The scrape with a wayward moped rider is not the first brush she's had with danger. In 2018 she revealed she was almost kidnapped by a gang in Mexico while she was working as a model.
The experience left her so shaken she spent the next night locked in her room armed with scissors, terrified the gang would strike again.
