A Place in the Sun's Craig Rowe was forced to apologise after the search took an unexpected turn.
The property expert was aiming to find Kirsty's dream home on Wednesday's edition of the popular Channel 4 programme. The school headteacher was joined by her friend Wendy and the two browsed five homes on the Canary Islands.
Kirsty was searching for a two bedroom property within walking distance of the beach and she had a maximum budget of £130,000. Craig described the search as a "challenge" as the average house price in the region was above her budget.

However, the search was a success as the buyer fell in love with the third and fifth home on the hunt. Craig branded the choice as a tricky decision and was looking forward to what Kirsty opted to bid for.
However, the host was disappointed at the start of the negotiation as he revealed the decision had been taken out of her hands. He said: "It's news that I'm not at all happy to be giving you to be honest. The final property that we saw has sold overnight.
"They had an offer accepted at the asking price and a deposit has been paid. Even though we know the property market was buoyant, I at least hoped we'd have overnight but that's not the situation.
"I'm sorry to give you that news. What are you thinking? I can kind of tell by your expression."
Kirsty remained silent as her friend stepped in: "It had come out as our top choice but these things happen." However, the episode fortunately had a happy ending as they decided to go for the other property, which was a one bed apartment in Las Palmas.
The buyer eventually secured the home for just over £122,500.
