A Place in the Sun presenter Jasmine Harman bursts into tears during emotional episode

A Place In The Sun presenter Jasmine Harman teared up during a very 'special episode' of the show.

The star, 47, toured Cyprus and shared a selfie from the sunny country with fans on Instagram.

Her post comes in the wake of co-host Jonnie Irwin's cancer diagnosis.

She said: "Today at 3pm on Channel 4 a very special episode of A Place in the Sun. It was probably the episode where I cried the most EVER!

"With lovely Themis and Paolo in Kapparis in Cyprus."

Fans immediately took to the comment section to share their love for the sunny location and the special episode.

"Just watched it, beautiful place, & loved the property they chose, you get very emotional with your clients Jasmine, you do such a great job," one user said.

Another added: "I really love these too, there’s something so sweet about them! Glad they got their dream x."

"Ive been in Cyprus for a month and don’t want to go back to England. Sadly have to go back Sunday," one upset user said about returning to the cold.

One viewer complimented Jasmine and said: "You are a lovely, empathetic person x."

Her post comes several days after fellow A Place In The Sun presenter Jonnie revealed he has been diagnosed with terminal cancer.

The 48-year-old, who also presents BBC ’s Escape To The Country, revealed his lung cancer had spread to his brain, saying: “I don’t know how long I have left.”

He opened up about the first warning sign of his illness, which came when he was filming A Place In The Sun in August 2020 in Italy.

His vision had become blurry while he was driving.

“Within a week of flying back from filming, I was being given six months to live,” he said.

“I had to go home and tell my wife, who was looking after our babies, that she was on her own pretty much. That was devastating.

“All I could do was apologise to her. I felt so responsible.”

The presenter shares three-year-old Rex and two-year-old twins Rafa and Cormac with his wife Jessica.

Speaking about keeping his diagnosis private, he told Hello magazine : “It’s got to the point now where it feels like I’m carrying a dirty secret, it’s become a monkey on my back.

“I hope that by shaking that monkey off I might inspire people who are living with life-limiting prospects to make the most of every day, to help them see that you can live a positive life, even though you are dying."
