A Place in the Sun's Jonnie Irwin was supported by fans after he attended the TRIC Awards yesterday.
The property expert revealed in November 2022 that he had been diagnosed with terminal cancer two years previously and was given six months to live. The 49-year-old decided it was time to share his diagnosis in order to encourage others to "make the most of every day".
The host made a rare red carpet appearance on Tuesday after Escape to the Country was nominated for an award at the ceremony in London. Jonnie took to Instagram to share updates from inside the bash at the Grosvenor House Hotel.

He was in hysterics as he joked around with Escape to the Country co-host, Jules Hudson. He said: "When @thejuleshudson unbuttons the ‘2nd button’ he’s simply irresistible."
Jonnie's sister, Amanda, took to the social media platform and hailed his fighting spirit. She said: "How do you do it little bro! What an absolute fighter!"
Fans agreed and said they were emotional after the update. Julie said: "You're absolutely amazing !!!!!! and the courage you’ve shown your children is amazing, what an inspiration you are"
Sue added: "Still smiling, what a man "
Sharon commented: "Brings tears to my eyes seeing you. It's not pity. It's admiration and love for the strength you're showing. Damn it hurts"
