A Place in the Sun buyers 'curveball' sparks Jasmine Harman to have 'sleepless night'

A Place in the Sun's Jasmine Harman said she lost sleep after a buyer's "unexpected curveball".

The property expert helped Bill and Sandra find their dream home abroad on today's edition of the popular Channel 4 programme. The married couple were armed with an £80,000 budget and were searching for a two bedroom apartment in Cyprus.

Bill and Sandra wanted a property with substantial outdoor space and a pool suitable for their two grandchildren. The couple were blown away by the second property on the search, which was a two bed apartment in Kapparis priced at £77,273.

The other properties on the search paled in comparison as they felt it didn't live up to the high standard set. Jasmine suggested they up their budget slightly for the final property on the search as she aimed to find competition for the apartment.

She showed the couple around a two bed penthouse in Kapparis, which was priced at £90,905. The couple were unimpressed at first but they changed their mind after they viewed the interior.

Jasmine admitted she was "surprised" when Bill and Sandra said it was a contender and they were going to deliberate the decision. The host said she had a sleepless night as she wondered what they were going to decide.

She said: "I've been up all night thinking about the dilemma you two were in yesterday evening. I thought it was a done deal and that second property was the one you felt most strongly about, but then this unexpected curveball came around with that final property.

She added: "I still don't know what one it's going to be so why don't you put me out of my misery." Bill and Sandra decided to put in a bid for the second property and secured the home for £72,700.
