A Place In The Sun buyer in tears after being shown villa

A Place In The Sun home hunter broke down in tears after seeing a property she thought was perfect.

Laura Hamilton helped Susan and Ainsley from Cardiff find their perfect holiday home around Mijas on Spain’s Costa del Sol. With a maximum budget of £200,000, the couple had a long list of needs including a seafront, two-bedroom property with modern decor and plenty of room for the whole family.

Pleased with the majority of properties they were shown, the couple agreed there were only minor problems with their new potential homes. A two-bedroom villa that was on the market for £181,000 left such an impact on Susan that she broke down in tears shortly after entering.

As well as two outdoor pools, the property had a large terrace leading directly onto the communal gardens, ensuite bathrooms and a games room. The prospect of this being their new home led Susan to break character and shed a few tears as she said: "This is just everything I thought of, yeah. It's really modern too, I love it."

Laura asked the couple what issues this property had but Susan was quick to say there were barely any apart from not having a sea view. She added: "I don't mind because the views are lovely with the swimming pools too so it's not a problem. Can you do better than this?"

The couple noted the villa was their biggest contender despite still having two more homes to see but Jasmine mentioned they would need to act fast as the property was also being looked at by other buyers. Susan said: "I love it I don't think you're going to get better than that. This is definitely the top contender."
