Former Miss Universe Harnaaz Kaur Sandhu turned teary-eyed as she took her last walk as the Miss Universe, after crowning her successor, R’Bonney Nola, the new Miss Universe. But she ended up walking away with all the limelight, thanks to her elegant grace and choice of outfits. While all the outfits worn by the diva were stunning, two became the talking points of the pageant, have a look!
The 22-year-old gave a thoughtful tribute to former Miss Universe winners from India, Sushmita Sen and Lara Dutta by wearing an all-black floor length gown which had photos of the two former beauty queens. Designer Saisha Shinde, who was the creative force behind the gown took to Instagram and wrote, Stylist Saisha Shinde had also shared photos of the said gown on her social media handle with the caption, “It was such an honour to design this one for my sweetheart Harnaaz. Her reign as Miss Universe was a learning experience for me…she went through a lot and came out shining! She truly is a star! Made this gown only and only that in mind…the three stars in the universe from India.”
Even Lara Dutta Bhupathi reacted to Harnaaz's tribute and wrote on her Instagram story, “Wishing Harnaaz Sandhu the brightest road ahead!! Am sure she’s going to blaze her own individual, glorious path.”
Another look of Harnaaz which made quite a lot of noise was a multi-hued lehenga with heavy embellishments. The stunning lehenga has been designed by designer dup Rimple and Harpreet Narula. The multi-hued lehenga belongs to the label's popular RAH Tribe collection and costs a whopping INR 2,59,900.
The lehenga in question features an illusion tie-up choli with a plunging neckline, beaded tassels, mirror embellishments, multi-coloured patchwork embroidery, intricate gota patti work, half-length sleeves, scalloped borders, and an asymmetric hemline.
