A new restaurant in Hamilton could be on the menu as planning application submitted

A planning application has been made to develop a restaurant with a takeaway in Hamilton.

The plan to change the use of a shop to a restaurant on 243 Glasgow Road in the Burnbank area of Hamilton was received by the council earlier this month.

The proposed development would see the premises being converted into a restaurant; the location was previously used as a takeaway.

There are no parking spaces currently at the location and planners are not proposing further parking.

The property was put up for lease as a retail unit. It is currently being refurbished, and it includes ground floor retail space with a separate first floor storage.

Neighbourhood consultation for the proposed plans began on March 16 and will end on April 6 with standard consultation beginning on March 14 and due to end on March 28.

The deadline for determining this application is May 13.
