More good news from Stockport this week, where 10 luxury bowling lanes, an arcade, interactive darts, karaoke and American pool, have arrived at The Light cinema complex. Part of the Redrock development in the town centre, the new additions join the 12-screen cinema and diner.
As well as tableside service straight to the bowling lane, visitors can play a range of old and new games such as Daytona Championship USA, Down the Clown, and The House of the Dead in the arcade, or hit the karaoke booth, which has over 15,000 tracks to choose from. Afterwards, there's darts for all abilities and American pool to try out.
James Morris, CEO said: “We are delighted to be able to extend our offer here in Stockport and bring a whole new entertainment and leisure experience to the town. Whether you’re looking to watch a brilliant movie, share a freshly made pizza with the family, play bowling with friends, or sing your heart out in our karaoke, we’ve got something for everyone and can’t wait to welcome you.”
Cllr Colin Macalister, Cabinet Member for Economy and Regeneration at Stockport Council, added: “The Light Cinema has been a huge success and with their latest additions to the venue have given people even more reason to visit Stockport. Confidence from the private sector has never been higher and many businesses now see Stockport as a great place to open or expand their business.”
If you work up an appetite thrashing your mates at pool or belting out a bit of Dianne Ross, the kitchen at The Light continues to serve up a range of handmade pizzas from Fratellis as well as burgers from Pittsburger. The new leisure f acilities have also arrived just as the cinema gears up for a number of hotly anticipated releases including Top Gun: Maverick, Jurassic World Dominion, Lightyear, Elvis, Minions: Rise of Gru and Thor: Love and Thunder.
