A contemporary Latin American restaurant boasting mezcal-themed cocktails, live music, and a luxury sharing menu is planning to open its second UK venue in Manchester.
MNKY HSE (which is pronounced Monkey House) has already made a name for itself in London and the Middle East, with previous high-profile guests spotted at the flagship eatery in Mayfair including Kate Moss and Nicole Scherzinger.
The restaurant is set to open the exclusive bar and restaurant at Lloyd House, which is also home to Red's True BBQ and the vegan restaurant Allotment. MNKY HSE have this week submitted an application to Manchester Council.
A day-to-night venue, MNKY HSE promises to bring the vibrant cuisine of Latin America to the city, alongside an 'inspiring' and 'carefully curated' live music programme.
MNKY HSE combines funk and Latin soul into one, with a contemporary Latin American menu set alongside a mezcal-themed cocktail list, wines, and a entertainment schedule hosted regularly until late. The 102-cover restaurant will have a central bar, as well as an open kitchen and prominent DJ booth.
The innovative menu, which has proved hugely popular at it's restaurant in the capital, is primarily based on a 'colourful' sharing concept with signature dishes including Crunchy Wagyu Truffle Taco, Yellowfin Tuna Ceviche with Caviar, Chilean Sea Bass and the MNKY HSE Extravaganza Luxury Platter.
Tom Curle, Investor from MNKY HSE Manchester commented: "We are delighted to bring MNKY HSE to Manchester. The brand has already established a fantastic reputation in London and the Middle East as the place to be seen, whilst providing exceptional food and entertainment."
Boris Kofman, MNKY HSE co-founder, added: "We are very excited to bring the MNKY HSE brand, energy and family to Manchester, adding to the growing number of exclusive brands coming to the city. Manchester was always on our radar in our expansion plans and we look forward to launching later this year."
The award-winning MNKY HSE London, launched to critical acclaim in the heart of Mayfair in 2016 and subsequently expanded across the Middle East, with restaurants in Doha and Riyadh.
A date for the restaurant's opening has not yet been announced.
